Is Your Current Temperature Control System Working For You?

Posted by Ken Linehan

MeCour versus dry ice
MeCour in its ongoing efforts to address and resolve your temperature control and management issues had a little fun shooting a dry ice photo session. As you will see in all of our Product Catalog sections (with exception to Thermal Inserts), we wanted to illustrate how unfortunately dry ice or regular ice does not fully envelop and transfer temperature to the samples contained in various consumables.

As noted throughout MeCour's history of 16+ years, we have focused our efforts on providing total uniform, stable temperature to whatever consumable we've designed a thermal block for. As illustrated in the dry ice shots, there is a household thermostat and RS232 cable. We trust that you know there is no way to control the temperature of dry ice nor interface with the management of temperature dry ice or regular ice provide. The other point we wanted to focus on is how much of your sample or reagent is not technically in contact with dry or regular ice; thus, no temperature transfer or control exist.

Each MeCour product category clearly details the effort we put into making sure the maximum direct thermal transfer is achieved and maintained to provide you maximum control and reproduceable end results.

dry ice versus temperature control

As always, MeCour will design the thermal block per your exact specifications. These can and often do include multiple sized tubes or reagent bottles combined with DWP or standard microplates.

Bottom line: whatever your application requires to operate more efficiently we will design the corresponding thermal system to meet those demands.
